Grinding stone with a carved concavity that allows food to be ground. Dimensions: 85 × 55 × 20 cm. Accompanied by its hand (grinding instrument).
Grinding stones are direct evidence of the daily life of the ancient inhabitants. The Vegonia site is especially rich in lithic industry: in addition to grinding stones, Professor Llanos documented obsidian carvings—knives, scrapers and blades—from local volcanic sources.

Every lithic element at Vegonia was documented with the National University. The pieces were never moved to a museum: you see them exactly where they have rested for centuries.
